We are supporting a well-established and growing insurance business in the appointment of an Insurance Administrator to join their team of six. The business operates from Harpenden, with a presence in London (including the Lloyd’s market) and as part of a wider US-based group. This is an excellent opportunity for either a graduate or an individual with prior insurance administration or accounts experience to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on data accuracy, numerical processing, and administrative efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Entering new risks into internal systems, involving numerical data, percentages, and currency calculations
  • Producing insurance documentation and contracts using Microsoft Word
  • Issuing contracts to clients
  • Updating systems with payments and amended risk information
  • Handling internal and external queries
  • Supporting general administrative and accounts-related processes

About You

  • Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
  • Highly organised with a methodical approach to work
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Previous experience in insurance administration, policy processing, or accounts is beneficial
  • Graduates or school leavers (A-Level) with strong academic results will also be considered
