Senior Security Operations & Vulnerability Management Consultant
Location: UK Remote with occasional client travel
We are seeking an experienced Security Operations and Vulnerability Management Consultant to join an stablished cyber consultancy team. This is a highly technical role requiring a hands-on cyber professional who can work closely with client Security Operations Centres and lead the delivery of critical security improvement programmes.
You will act as the technical lead across vulnerability management and Identity and Access Management workstreams, providing subject matter expertise and ensuring the successful delivery of security initiatives. Working with stakeholders across security, infrastructure and technology functions, you will help organisations reduce cyber risk, improve security operations maturity and enhance their overall security posture.
This role would suit someone with a strong operational security background who combines technical depth with the ability to engage stakeholders and drive delivery across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of vulnerability management programmes across enterprise environments.
- Act as the primary technical lead for vulnerability remediation activities and risk reduction initiatives.
- Work closely with Security Operations Centre teams to identify, investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Design and implement vulnerability management processes, standards and reporting frameworks.
- Provide expert guidance on the deployment and optimisation of Microsoft Defender technologies.
- Support clients in maximising the value of Microsoft E5 security capabilities.
- Lead technical workstreams relating to Identity and Access Management programmes.
- Drive continuous improvement across security operations processes and controls.
- Manage and optimise vulnerability scanning and exposure management platforms including Tenable One.
- Support endpoint management and patching initiatives using Patch My PC and relevant Microsoft technologies.
- Produce technical documentation, risk assessments and executive reporting.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders across security and technology teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong cyber security operations background with proven experience leading technical security workstreams within enterprise or consultancy environments.
