We're hiring an experienced SC-cleared User Researcher to support the delivery of user-centred digital services within a central government environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-impact programme where research plays a critical role in shaping policy-backed digital products and services.
Key Requirements
- Active Security Clearance (SC) - must be current and transferable
- Strong GDS experience, including working to the Government Service Standard
- Demonstrable experience delivering user research across discovery, alpha and beta phases
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, multidisciplinary delivery teams and service owners
- Ability to translate complex research findings into clear, actionable insights that influence design and product decisions
Responsibilities
- Plan, design and deliver a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research activities
- Champion user-centred design principles and evidence-led decision-making across the team
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, developers and policy colleagues
- Communicate insights effectively through research reports, playback sessions and workshops
- Ensure all research outputs align with GDS standards and support service assessments
Working Pattern
- 3 days per week on-site in London
- Remaining days remote, offering a balanced and flexible working model
