Role Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data engineering solutions
- Build and optimise batch and streaming data pipelines to support business‑critical use cases
- Work with large, complex datasets, ensuring high levels of data quality, integrity, and availability
- Develop and manage data models, schemas, and database structures
- Deploy and manage cloud‑based data infrastructure within AWS
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including analysts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver data solutions aligned with business needs
- Ensure a strong documentation‑first approach, producing clear and maintainable technical documentation
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data workflows and system performance
Technical Skills & Experience Required
- Strong grounding in data engineering principles, patterns, and best practices
- Proven experience with database design and management
- Hands‑on experience building data pipelines (both batch and streaming)
- Strong experience working within AWS environments, including S3, Athena, Lambda, Glue, CloudWatch, EC2, MSK
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Advanced SQL skills and experience handling large‑scale datasets
