Overview
We're looking for a Data Architect to design secure, scalable AWS data platforms that support public sector transformation and data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end data architectures on AWS (data lakes, warehouses, streaming)
- Define data models, standards, and governance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory requirements (eg, GDPR)
- Lead data platform modernisation and migration initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions
- Drive best practices in data quality, integration, and life cycle management
Key Skills
- Strong AWS data experience (eg, S3, Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena)
- Proven experience in public sector or regulated environments
- Data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) expertise
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance
- Experience with ETL/ELT, APIs, and data integration tools
Nice to Have
- AWS certifications (eg, Data Analytics Specialty, Solutions Architect)
