This role is for a self‑motivated Senior Test Analyst working within an established Test Practice. Responsibilities include leading small teams of testers, collaborating with project stakeholders, and driving efficient, high‑quality testing approaches. The role involves mentoring junior colleagues, supporting project delivery, and maintaining high standards across test planning, execution, and reporting.
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience across all test phases including integration, system, and regression testing.
- Understanding of configuration, change, and release management.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Subversion.
- Strong understanding of software development and testing lifecycles.
- Experience working with Agile, V‑Model, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to test both infrastructure and applications.
- Skilled in identifying test data, creating manual and automated test cases, and executing tests.
- Experience logging and investigating defects, and managing defect lifecycle.
- Ability to collect test metrics and organise required environments, tools, and materials.
- Capable of creating test plans and managing testing deliverables for small projects.
- Experience writing test scripts, test reports and supporting reporting requirements.
- Proficient in JIRA.
Core Capabilities
- Manual and automated testing across functional, non‑functional, end‑to‑end, infrastructure, hardware, and regression areas.
- Creation of test documentation such as test plans, scripts and reports.
- Experience with technologies including Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, SCOM, SCCM and VMware.
- Requirements management and day‑to‑day support for project and programme managers.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- ISTQB Foundation level or above.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of tools or technologies such as NXLog, McAfee, SQL, Terminal Server, Juniper Networking, Cisco Viptela, Cisco ISE, or KeePass.
