You will join a people-focused digital consultancy delivering user-centred services across the UK public sector. Role Responsibilities

  • Design intuitive, accessible, and user‐centred digital interfaces aligned to the GDS Service Manual and GOV.UK Design System.
  • Produce low‐ and high‐fidelity wireframes, visual designs, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Contribute to user‐centred design activities across the full service lifecycle (discovery, alpha, beta, and live).
  • Work closely with UX Researchers to translate user research findings into well‐informed design solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and meet usability and accessibility standards.
  • Take part in agile ceremonies, design reviews, and stakeholder workshops.
  • Ensure designs meet WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design best practice.
  • Support the ongoing improvement of design processes, patterns, and documentation.

What You Will Bring to the Team

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience designing digital services within GDS / GOV.UK frameworks.
  • Strong prototyping skills using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • A solid understanding of accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles.
  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams, ideally within a consultancy setting.
  • A user‐focused, problem‐solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple pieces of work and priorities effectively.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience working for a digital or management consultancy.
  • Previous delivery experience within central government, local government, healthcare, or wider public sector organisations.
  • Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and style guides.
  • Experience working closely with content designers and service designers.
  • Understanding of front‐end development constraints and technical feasibility.
  • Experience using collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
