Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to support a high-profile government digital transformation programme. This role will suit a strong delivery professional with a proven track record of managing complex technology and business change initiatives within large-scale environments. The successful candidate will work closely with cross‑functional teams, senior stakeholders, and delivery partners to ensure successful project execution, governance, and delivery outcomes across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of digital and transformation initiatives
  • Manage delivery plans, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and risks
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across business and technical functions
  • Drive Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate governance forums, stand‑ups, sprint planning, and stakeholder meetings
  • Ensure effective communication between delivery teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting on delivery status, risks, and milestones
  • Support issue resolution and remove blockers to maintain delivery momentum
  • Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and business objectives
  • Work collaboratively with programme leadership to support strategic outcomes

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Delivery Manager within complex transformation or digital programmes
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and project governance
  • Experience managing cross‑functional teams within fast‑paced environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against tight deadlines
  • Experience using delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
  • Strong risk, dependency, and issue management capability
  • Previous experience working within UK Government or public sector environments is highly desirable
  • Active SC Clearance is essential

Desirable Experience

  • Experience delivering enterprise‑scale technology or digital transformation programmes
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches
  • Knowledge of government delivery standards and governance frameworks
  • Scrum Master, Agile, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications beneficial

Working Arrangement

Hybrid working model – 3 days per week onsite in London, remaining days remote. Inside IR35 contract engagement.

Candidates must hold active SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
