The Communications Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining the Digital Wing narrative, creating awareness, engagement and advocacy across FCDO while ensuring stakeholders understand not only what is being delivered, but why it matters and how it contributes to the future FCDO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop programme communications strategy
  • Create stakeholder engagement plans
  • Produce leadership briefings and communications
  • Support change and adoption activity
  • Coordinate programme announcements and updates
  • Develop communication materials and artefacts
  • Manage programme branding and narrative
  • Support showcase and demonstration activities
  • Measure communication effectiveness

Additional responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve the Digital Wing story and vision
  • Translate complex concepts into compelling stakeholder narratives
  • Create excitement and momentum around the programme
  • Support leadership engagement and stakeholder alignment
  • Identify and promote early success stories and programme outcomes
  • Support Innovation Centre and Media Centre showcase activities
  • Develop showcase and demonstration strategies
