The Test Analyst will be responsible for analysis, design, execution, and reporting of technical tests in line with agreed test plans. Working under the direction of the Test Lead, the role also involves developing specialist testing and technical skills while supporting client delivery and contractual objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver testing activities to agreed timelines and estimates
- Produce test plans, test cases, scripts, and test data
- Execute tests, record results, and manage defects
- Produce test reports and support continuous improvement
- Use testing tools and report progress, risks, and issues proactively
- Maintain and develop testing knowledge, skills, and competencies
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and processes
- Proven experience as a Technical Test Analyst on systems integration projects
- Ability to produce test deliverables with minimal supervision
- Experience with business technologies (e.g. MS Office) and at least one domain area (applications, infrastructure, networks, or security)
- Experience with tools such as HP ALM/QC, SQL, Excel, and basic scripting (e.g. PL/SQL, Java, VB, or C)
- Experience with JIRA and Remedy
- ISTQB Foundation Level Certification
Desirable
- ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or Technical Test Analyst certification
- Awareness of current and emerging testing technologies and strategies
