Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join a high-profile government digital transformation programme focused on the delivery of a strategic Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering a business-critical programme that will modernise identity, access and software licensing across a large engineering and business estate. Working within a complex stakeholder environment, you will be responsible for coordinating delivery across multiple teams, aligning competing priorities and ensuring successful programme outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical project delivery background, complemented by excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working within structured governance environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a complex Identity and Access Management (IAM) programme.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple technical teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Manage programme plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery roadmaps.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks, issues and delivery blockers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective governance, reporting and programme controls are maintained.
  • Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional engineering and delivery teams.
  • Balance Agile delivery practices with structured project management and governance.
  • Support delivery planning, prioritisation and decision-making across multiple workstreams.
  • Drive programme progress while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering complex technical programmes or projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
  • Experience managing dependencies across multiple teams and workstreams.
  • Excellent risk, issue and programme governance management.
  • Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to work closely with engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to align diverse stakeholders around common delivery objectives.
  • Active SC Clearance.

You'll be joining a collaborative delivery team supporting a major government transformation initiative. Working alongside Technical Architects, Engineers and Delivery Leadership, you'll play a central role in coordinating delivery across multiple technical workstreams. The programme combines Agile ways of working with structured governance and project controls, requiring a pragmatic Delivery Manager who can operate confidently across both approaches.

Candidates must hold active SC Clearance before commencing the assignment.
