Data Centre Manager, Data Centre Specialist (SC Cleared)
We are currently seeking a skilled Data Centre Manager to manage an on premise data centre environment based in Bristol. This role will focus on overseeing racks, equipment and various facilities management aspects, ensuring smooth day to day operations. You will be tasked with identifying and resolving any emerging technical issues and maintaining the data centre\’s integrity. The successful candidate will also take part in training and travel opportunities to support other international data centre operations
Rate – £700.00 per day to overall assignment rate of umbrella
Location – Bristol – Onsite
Duration – 12 Months with the opportunity of extension
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the on prem data centre environment, focusing on racks and equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Take ownership of resolving any issues that arise within the facilities and environment
- Perform regular assessments to identify new or potential problems and proactively address them
- Provide facilities management support to ensure the data centre operates optimally
- Support data centre operations in other countries – twice a year – all expensed
Key Skills
- Previous experience in data centre operations or similar technical environments
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to manage technical issues in a data centre setting
- Proactive approach to identifying potential technical or facility related problems
- SC Cleared is a must due to client time frames
