Salary: Β£75,000 - Β£90,000 + Excellent Benefits Package

The Role
We are seeking a Cyber Security Manager to join a growing cyber practice supporting organisations across the Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Manufacturing, and Critical National Infrastructure sectors. This is an opportunity to work with senior stakeholders, lead complex security engagements, and help organisations strengthen their cyber resilience in an increasingly challenging threat landscape.
As a Cyber Security Manager, you will lead the delivery of cybersecurity consulting engagements, helping clients identify and manage cyber risk, improve security maturity, and deliver transformational security initiatives across enterprise IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments. You will work closely with executive stakeholders, technical specialists, and delivery teams to provide strategic advice while ensuring successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Project Leadership
- Lead cyber security projects and programmes from initiation through to successful delivery.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, including senior leadership teams.
- Facilitate security assessments, workshops, risk reviews, and maturity assessments.
- Provide practical recommendations to enhance security resilience, governance, and compliance.
- Manage project risks, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
Security Advisory & Technical Leadership
- Advise clients across key security domains, including:
- Cyber Security Strategy
- Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
- Operational Technology (OT) Security
- Security Operations
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Emerging Technologies and AI Security
- Support the design and implementation of security improvements and transformation programmes.
- Develop cyber security frameworks, policies, standards, and governance processes.
- Translate technical risks into clear business-focused recommendations.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities for growth within existing and prospective client accounts.
- Support proposals, bids, and client presentations.
- Contribute to the expansion of a market-leading cyber security practice.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with clients and partners.
Team Leadership
- Coach, mentor, and develop cyber security consultants and specialists.
- Support capability development and knowledge sharing across the wider team.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and industry engagement activities.
About YouEssential Experience
- 7+ years' experience in cyber security consulting, advisory services, or security programme delivery.
- Strong knowledge ofcyber security frameworks and standards including:
- NIST
- ISO 27001
- CAF
- NIS
- Experience managing senior stakeholders and delivering complex security projects.
- Expertise in one or more of the following:
- OT Security
- Security Operations
- IAM
- Cyber Strategy
- Risk Management
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience contributing to business development and account growth activities.
Desirable Experience
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GICSP, CRISC, or equivalent.
- Experience working within Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Resources, or Critical National Infrastructure environments.
- Understanding of AI-related security risks and emerging technologies.
- Experience delivering security transformation programmes across both IT and OT environments.
