Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Delivery Manager to support the delivery of a high-profile digital transformation programme within the healthcare sector.

This role is ideal for a collaborative and delivery-focused professional with a strong understanding of Agile principles and a passion for enabling high-performing teams.

You will be responsible for creating an environment in which multidisciplinary teams can thrive, ensuring the successful delivery of products and services while continuously improving ways of working.

Previous NHS experience is highly desirable, although candidates with relevant public sector or large-scale digital delivery experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Agile delivery teams to successfully deliver digital products and services.
  • Build and maintain motivated, collaborative, and high-performing teams.
  • Create a clear, open and transparent delivery framework that enables teams to perform effectively.
  • Identify delivery risks, issues and blockers, working proactively to remove obstacles.
  • Keep teams focused on delivering the highest-value outcomes.
  • Visualise work using Agile delivery tools and techniques to provide transparency and support decision-making.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and reviews.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across delivery teams.
  • Coach and mentor team members in Agile and Lean principles and best practices.
  • Work closely with product, technical and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Monitor team performance and support effective planning and prioritisation.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Delivery Manager within Agile delivery environments.
  • Demonstrable experience applying Agile principles and practices in real-world delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience building, motivating and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to identify and resolve delivery challenges while maintaining team momentum.
  • Experience visualising work through Agile management tools and techniques.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean delivery methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous NHS or wider healthcare sector experience.
  • Experience delivering digital transformation programmes.
  • Familiarity with Agile tooling such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops or similar platforms.
  • Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
