IR35 Status: Inside IR35 - engagement via an umbrella company

Duration: 6 months

Location: Hybrid - occasional on-site workshops (typically 1-2 days per month) in Telford or Hove

Role Overview

We are seeking an SC-cleared Denodo Data Engineer to join a central government data platform programme. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and a proactive approach.

You will work within a delivery team to build and deliver base and integration views across connected systems, supporting data migration and platform modernisation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver base and integration views from connected data systems
  • Build and optimise data pipelines to support data migration
  • Support automation and assist with code creation and testing
  • Perform complex data transformations and processing using appropriate coding languages
  • Collaborate closely with client stakeholders and contribute to workshops

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong Denodo experience
  • Proven understanding of Denodo VDB performance, optimisation, and security patterns, including:
    • Query delegation
    • Caching strategies
    • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and experience working within delivery teams

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Some understanding of legacy government data warehouse estates

Security Requirements

Candidates must hold active SC Clearance with a UK government department, transferable where required.
