Service Designer
£420 per day | Inside IR35 | 12-Month Contract We are seeking an experienced
Service Designer
to join a major public sector digital transformation programme focused on the design and delivery of a high-profile
mobile application . Working within a multidisciplinary agile team, you will help design end-to-end services that meet user needs while aligning with
GOV.UK Service Standards
and Government Digital Service (GDS) best practice.

Key Responsibilities
Lead service design activities across the full service lifecycle Create and maintain service blueprints, user journeys and service maps Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders and delivery teams Collaborate closely with Product Managers, User Researchers, Content Designers, Business Analysts and Developers Use user research and data insights to inform service improvements Identify pain points, opportunities and service enhancements Ensure services are accessible, inclusive and user-centred Support delivery in line with GDS standards and assessments
Essential Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience working as a
Service Designer Strong GDS experience
delivering digital services within UK Government or wider public sector organisations Experience working through GDS service phases (Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live) Understanding of
GOV.UK Service Standard
and user-centred design principles Experience designing services for
mobile applications Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills Experience working within agile, multidisciplinary teams Ability to produce high-quality service design artefacts including journey maps, service blueprints and ecosystem maps
Desirable
Experience of government service assessments Experience working within complex transformation programmes Familiarity with tools such as Miro, Figma, Jira and Confluence
Security Requirements
Candidates must: Be
British Nationals Have a minimum of
5 years continuous UK residency Be eligible to obtain and maintain
BPSS Clearance
