Security Solution Architect Location: Remote, with occasional travel to London (typically 1-2 days per month) Role Type: Permanent Security Clearance: Enhanced DV or Enhanced SC Clearance required (depending on assignment) Salary: Competitive + Benefits About the Role We are seeking experienced Security Solution Architects to join a specialist consultancy supporting the delivery of critical government projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on a large-scale secure transformation programme focused on the design, procurement, implementation, and transition across complex environments. You will play a key role in defining secure architectures, supporting procurement activities, guiding technical delivery, and ensuring solutions align with security, governance, and operational requirements. The successful candidate will bring strong solution architecture expertise combined with a deep understanding of secure-by-design principles, government security requirements, and cross-domain security capabilities. Key Responsibilities Define and deliver solution architecture, including vision, scope, and technical specifications required to support programme outcomes. Support tender and procurement activities, including requirements definition, transition planning, and technical documentation. Produce documentation and technical collateral to support suppliers and stakeholders throughout procurement and delivery phases. Support virtual data room activities, clarification responses, and technical evaluation processes. Lead solution design and implementation activities to ensure successful delivery of secure services. Develop and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and associated architecture documentation. Ensure architectural designs align with agreed technical standards, security requirements, and governance processes. Present architecture solutions to governance boards and stakeholders for review and approval. Collaborate with service architects, project teams, suppliers, and technical stakeholders to develop target operating models and service designs. Support technical assurance activities, traceability of requirements, and governance compliance. Act as a technical point of contact for architecture-related issues and requirements across the programme. Essential Skills
