We're supporting a major Central Government programme and are looking for an experienced Interaction Designer to join a multidisciplinary digital team delivering user-centred public services. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile government projects, helping shape intuitive and accessible services that make a real impact for citizens across the UK.
Essential Requirements
- Active SC Clearance (must be current and transferable)
- Strong experience working within Central Government environments
- Proven delivery experience aligned to GDS (Government Digital Service) standards
- Experience designing end-to-end user journeys and service interactions
- Ability to work effectively within agile, multidisciplinary teams
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities
- Design user-centred interactions for complex digital services
- Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and service flows
- Apply GDS principles, standards and best practices throughout delivery
- Collaborate closely with User Researchers, Content Designers, Developers and Product Managers
- Contribute to service assessments and ensure accessibility standards are met
- Translate user needs and business requirements into effective digital experiences
Contract Details
- Rate: Up to £550 per day
- IR35: Inside IR35
- Duration: Initial 6 months
- Location: Bristol, London or Newcastle
- Working Pattern: Hybrid, with 1-2 days per week onsite
