We're seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to support a high-profile programme within the defence sector. This contract role will focus on designing, building, and integrating secure cloud infrastructure across hybrid environments.
You'll play a key role in delivering scalable AWS solutions using Infrastructure as Code, while ensuring seamless integration with existing on-premises systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy AWS infrastructure and networking using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain reusable, best-practice IaC modules.
- Deliver secure and high-performing networking across AWS and hybrid environments.
- Design and implement integrations between on-prem and cloud (VPNs, Direct Connect, hybrid DNS, routing).
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, and performance issues.
Key Requirements
- Strong experience managing AWS environments at scale.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform and CloudFormation (or similar IaC tools).
- Solid networking knowledge (DNS, routing, VPNs, firewalls).
- Experience with hybrid cloud and on-prem integration patterns.
- Strong troubleshooting ability with a security-first mindset.
