Position: Senior IAM Engineer

Location: Newport / Hybrid

Daily Rate: £550 p.d Inside IR35

Clearance: UKSV SC Clearance Required

We're seeking an experienced Senior IAM Engineer to join a high-profile defence client on a contract basis. This role will focus on the design, implementation and support of secure enterprise infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Identity & Access Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical design and implementation of IAM and infrastructure solutions
  • Support pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, effort estimation and documentation
  • Integrate, test and deploy new hardware and software into live environments
  • Administer and enhance enterprise systems (AD, Exchange, identity services, access controls)
  • Provide 2nd line support and ensure adherence to SLAs
  • Produce high-quality technical and operational documentation

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in enterprise infrastructure and IAM engineering
  • Experience with Active Directory (multi-forest), Exchange (2010/2016+), and MIM/FIM
  • Solid understanding of GPO, DNS, PKI, SSO and PowerShell scripting
  • Experience working in virtualised environments (VMware)
  • Knowledge of Windows Server (2012-2022+) and Exchange CUs
  • Proven ability to lead small technical teams and deliver in project environments
