We're hiring an experienced DV-cleared User Researcher to support the delivery of user-centred digital services within a central government environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-impact, secure programme where research plays a critical role in shaping policy-backed digital products and services.

Key Requirements

  • Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance - must be current and transferable
  • Strong experience working to GDS standards and the Government Service Standard
  • Demonstrable experience delivering user research across Discovery, Alpha and Beta phases
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, multidisciplinary delivery teams and service owners
  • Ability to translate complex research findings into clear, actionable insights that influence design and product decisions

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design and deliver a range of qualitative and quantitative research activities
  • Champion user-centred design principles and evidence-led decision-making
  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, developers and policy colleagues
  • Communicate insights effectively through research reports, playback sessions and workshops
  • Ensure outputs align with GDS standards and support service assessments

Working Pattern

3 days per week on-site in London. Remaining days remote, offering a balanced and flexible working model.
