Are you a passionate leader in Safety, Health, and Environmental management? We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Manager to lead and coordinate our SHE agenda across all business units—including manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure our operations meet the highest standards of legal compliance, risk management, and environmental responsibility.
You’ll line manage and develop a team of SHE Advisors, oversee audits and risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement through effective leadership and collaboration. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including Design, Operations, Technical, Sustainability, and HR—you’ll champion a safety-first culture, support investigations, deliver training, and help shape our sustainability initiatives.

What you’ll do:
- Lead the implementation of SHE policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure legal compliance and operational excellence.
- Line manage, support, and develop a team of SHE Advisors, ensuring consistent standards and professional growth.
- Oversee inspections, audits, and risk assessments, driving best practice across all operations.
- Support investigations into incidents and near misses, ensuring root causes are addressed and corrective actions implemented.
- Monitor and report on SHE performance, identifying trends and supporting continuous improvement.
- Deliver and support SHE training, inductions, and campaigns to engage colleagues at all levels.
- Contribute to environmental and sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and energy efficiency.
- Act as a key point of contact for external regulatory bodies, auditors, and stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a SHE management or advisory role within manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution.
- Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Experience managing or supporting SHE teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
- Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards (desirable).
- Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards.
- Proven experience in accident investigation & risk management.
- Ability to influence at all levels, from shopfloor to senior leadership.
