Lead SDET
London - 2x days a week
6 month initial contract
£650 per day - umbrella engagement
We are seeking an experience hands-on Lead SDET to define and lead the test automation strategy for a modern web platform. Working closely with Engineering Managers, Technical Leads and React development teams, you will establish the vision, standards and governance required to build scalable, maintainable, and high-performing automation frameworks.
You will be:
- Design and implement testing strategies across unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
- Build and maintain automated frameworks from scratch.
- Ensure accessibility and other non-functional requirements are covered.
- Champion quality engineering best practices and CI/CD integration.
Skillsets required:
- Strong understanding of testing principles and modern quality engineering practices.
- Hands on experience with Jest or Vitest.
- Experience with React Testing Library and Mock Service Worker (MSW).
- Experience with building frameworks from scratch with Playwright or Cypress.
- Knowledge of testing strategies such as the Testing Pyramid.
- Experience working within CI/CD environments.
