Java Developer - £55,000 - £67,00 - Remote Working
We are looking for a number of Java Developers to work for a Digital consultancy across several of their key clients. You will be joining a dynamic team and contributing to the development of cutting edge applications.
The ideal candidate would have worked in the Public Sector, Civil Service or for a consultancy to be suitable for this role.

You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable software solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, testing, and deploying high-quality code primarily using Java and Spring Boot.
- Designing and implementing cloud-native applications on AWS (Amazon Web Services).
- Contributing to the front-end development using JavaScript.
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver new features.
- Participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience as a Java Developer.
- You will have ideally worked in the Public Sector, Civil Service or for a consultancy to be suitable for this role.
- Strong working knowledge of the Spring Boot framework.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
- Familiarity with JavaScript for front-end development.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and agile methodologies.
- Experience with Python is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
