Teaching Assistant Level 3 in Castleton

Permanent Pattern of Hours: Term Time Only Plus 2 training days (192 days total)

Day Pattern: Monday to Friday

We are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning. The successful candidate will initially be deployed across all year groups and work alongside staff to support families. Support may be required in other areas at the discretion of the Senior Leadership Team.

As a Level 3 TA, you will complement the teachers’ delivery of the curriculum by working in a variety of roles. These include:

• Supporting individual children or small groups with SEND
• Delivering and leading interventions
• Fostering the development of groups within a play-based and classroom environment
• Covering teacher absences, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a nurturing and engaging learning environment

• Is knowledgeable about how children learn across the full primary age range
• Can deliver whole class and group teaching sessions to a high standard
• Can engage in quality adult interactions with young pupils to extend their learning
• Is creative and can produce high quality displays
• Is patient, nurturing and positive, able to build relations built on trust and respect
• Can support intimate care practices
• Is flexible and able to adapt quickly to support colleagues, children and families
• Has excellent communication, interpersonal and administration skills
• Is able to work in partnership with colleagues, parents and outside agencies to secure the best outcomes for our children and families
