At Sandal Huddersfield, one of the largest privately owned BMW/MINI retailers in the area, we are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is an experienced Workshop Controller looking for the right opportunity to grow their skills with some of the most advanced products in the marketplace and with a large established technical team.
You’re naturally perceptive, determined, organised, and we want you to bring those skills to further develop our processes and performance as we redefine the leadership structure around this most important area of the business. Along with the current Workshop Controller, you will play a vital role in driving excellence within our business and delivering a premium service to our customers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the Workshop: Oversee the daily operations of our 24-bay workshop, tyre bay, valet bay, and MOT facility, ensuring that all team members meet their targets and work together to achieve success.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure all work meets our high standards, fulfilling customer expectations and maintaining excellent working practices across the team. Monitor repeat repairs, identifying trends and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Driving Efficiency: Streamline processes and optimise productivity, contributing to the smooth running of the service department and helping the team to meet business objectives.
If you have:
- Previous experience in an automotive Workshop Controller role.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, organise, and guide a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and exceptional communication skills to maintain good levels of interaction within the Sandal Group.
