We are partnering with a leading global management consultancy to appoint a Technology M&A Director into their deal advisory practice. You will be focused on advising private equity and corporate clients across the full deal lifecycle. As a Director, you will lead end-to-end technology M&A engagements, combining deep technical expertise with commercial insight. You will work closely with investors, C-suite stakeholders, and deal teams to assess technology assets, quantify risks, and drive value creation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading Technology Due Diligence (Tech DD) engagements, translating technical findings into clear investment risks and value drivers
- Assessing product architecture, code quality, scalability, and technical debt across target businesses
- Evaluating infrastructure, cloud environments, cyber security posture, and operational resilience
- Reviewing engineering capabilities, delivery methodologies (Agile/DevOps), and team effectiveness
- Analysing IP ownership, licensing risks, and software compliance considerations
- Assessing product roadmaps and innovation potential to support investment theses
Post-deal, you will:
- Lead integration, separation, and carve-out programmes across complex transactions
- Drive Day 1 readiness and 100-day planning initiatives
- Identify and execute technology synergies and value creation opportunities
- Design governance structures, controls, and operating models for newly formed entities
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders throughout execution
Experience Needed:
- Significant experience within a top-tier consultancy, Big 4, or specialist advisory firm
- Deep expertise in Technology Due Diligence for private equity and/or corporate transactions
- Proven delivery across post-deal execution: integration, carve-out, separation, and transformation
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, software engineering, and cyber security
- Ability to translate complex technical issues into commercial and financial implications
- Experience leading senior client relationships and managing multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated business development capability and contribution to revenue growth
