What you will do:
- Deliver high-quality care and educational activities in line with the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports child-led learning and development
- Act as a key person for allocated children, completing observations, assessments, and developmental records
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Promote and follow safeguarding procedures, reporting concerns appropriately
- Support and supervise Childcare Assistants, students, and bank staff when required
- Maintain accurate records, registers, and nursery documentation
- Support daily routines including hygiene, meals, housekeeping, and health and safety responsibilities
Training and development:
- Participate in mandatory training, safeguarding supervision, and ongoing professional development
- Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, and parent evenings as required
- Work flexibly across nursery sites if needed
Minimum requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare (essential)
- Experience working within an early years or nursery setting
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding principles
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
