This role sits in the Data Management Team as part of Technology, which is responsible for delivering Technology capability within Sanctuary Group to ensure employees have access to the systems they need to perform their duties. This role reports into the Head of Data Engineering.
The role of Data Engineer will include:
- Designing and executing data migration strategies using LSMW and SDS tools
- Developing and maintaining data mapping, transformation, and validation rules
- Performing data extraction from legacy systems and load into SAP environments (ECC, S/4HANA)
- Collaborating with functional teams to ensure data integrity and compliance with business requirements
- Troubleshooting and optimizing migration jobs for performance and accuracy
- Preparing technical documentation and providing knowledge transfer to internal teams
Skills and experiences:
- Strong proficiency in LSMW techniques (batch input, direct input, BAPI, IDoc)
- Hands-on experience with SAP Data Services (BODS) for ETL processes
- Knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA data structures
- Experience in data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation
- Familiarity with SQL, ABAP basics, and integration with external systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Role salary is £54,197 with an additional policy allowance of £18,969 per annum (rising to £57,050 with an additional policy allowance of £19,967 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance).
