What you will do
- Act as the lead for social care within SEND services, ensuring effective integration with education and health.
- Oversee and contribute to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs) and EHCP development.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to practitioners on SEND legislation and social care responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice.
- Work collaboratively with schools, health services, families, and partner agencies.
- Contribute to service development, quality assurance, and improvement plans.
Person Specification
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) or relevant professional qualification.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Registration & Compliance: Registered with Social Work England (or relevant professional body).
- Strong knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice (0–25 years), and Children Act 1989.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
Key Skills
