Worcester based with a balance of home and office working £54,870 - £57,774 per year 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday.

The Technology Delivery Manager will be part of the Service Management Office Team based at our Head Office in Worcester. This role will lead the delivery of a portfolio of operational change, providing governance, assurance and alignment to strategic goals to ensure measurable business outcomes, driving improvements and efficiencies for the benefit of Group. The mission for our Technology Department is to drive and inspire modernisation whilst enabling our entire community to thrive. Technology is one of the key enablers of our Group's strategy so having the right person to support the successful delivery of modernising our Technology Operations is crucial.

This role is based in Worcester and will include a balance of home and office working (3 days in the office and 2 days from home).

The role of Technology Delivery Manager will include:

  • Lead, manage, monitor, and ensure delivery of agreed operational technology projects and services, driving improvements in reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Own end-to-end delivery accountability for business-critical operational initiatives throughout their lifecycle, ensuring effective resource utilisation (including budgets) and achievement of objectives.
  • Develop, manage, and implement operational plans to drive delivery of technology services and improvements, resolving business issues and supporting operational users.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary, matrix teams to deliver change at pace, setting delivery standards, assuring quality, and embedding continuous improvement across ways of working.
  • Define and shape the roadmap of technology operations initiatives, with a focus on operational readiness and ongoing support.
  • Establish governance and controls, aligning with Technology Delivery where suitable and ensure compliance with operational policies, procedures, and relevant regulations (e.g., ITIL, ISO standards).
  • Promote and embed a culture of operational excellence, customer service, and continuous improvement within the Technology Operations team.
  • Contribute, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives.

Skills and experiences:

  • Comprehensive experience of managing medium to large scale Technology projects.
  • Proven experience in working with others to deliver projects, including indirect reports.
  • Proven experience of using project planning tools to effectively manage projects.
  • Proven experience of producing progress reports and management information, including making recommendations for changes needed to ensure delivery.
  • Proven experience of working to compliance standards e.g. ITIL and ISO.
  • Proven experience in developing solutions in line with business strategies whilst meeting business and user needs.
  • Prince2 Practitioner or other Project Management qualification.

Effective 1st April role salary is £45,736 with an additional policy allowance of £9,133 per annum (rising to £48,157 with an additional policy allowance of £9,616 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance).
