We are on the hunt for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Hospital Discharge Team, based in a vibrant and well-connected community on the outskirts of London. What you will do:
  • Manage a complex and varied caseload with a high level of autonomy and professional judgement.
  • Provide expert professional and technical guidance to social workers, managers, colleagues, and partner agencies.
  • Apply a range of theoretical frameworks to deliver high-quality assessments and intervention planning.
  • Mentor and support colleagues to develop professional confidence, capability, and effective caseload management.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
  • Prepare high-quality court reports and provide expert evidence when required.
  • Undertake Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, ensuring robust and defensible decision-making.
  • Contribute to panel work, service development, and strategic planning activities.
  • Maintain practice standards in line with the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) at Experienced Social Worker level.
  • Act as a practice educator, supporting social work students and newly qualified social workers.
Requirements:
  • Meet PCF Experienced Social Worker standards.
  • Hold a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent) and a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Be registered with Social Work England (mandatory).
