We are looking for a Skilled Worker to join our Property Services Team based in Rochford. As a Skilled Worker you will be responsible for providing an effective maintenance and repairs service that meets contract and customer expectations. Working alongside other Operatives, the role will include collecting rubbish, moving materials, fetching and carrying, ground works, fencing, laying slabs, painting, and general works across lots of sites in the Southeast area.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties to help the Operatives on site
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed
- Providing accurate and timely information on progress of jobs
- Collection of rubbish and debris from work areas and dispose in the skip
- Ferrying of materials to and from the work area
- Assisting the operatives with works occasionally and any lifting etc
- Collection and transportation of larger materials on occasions
Skills and Experience
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
- Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Ability to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
- Good communication skills
This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

£27,774 per annum (rising to £29,236 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
