An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Occupational Therapist to join the Mental Health Team at Wellesley Hospital in Wellington. This purpose-built 75-bed facility provides specialist care for men and women experiencing mental health disorders. You will play a vital role in promoting recovery, independence, and wellbeing through high-quality occupational therapy interventions within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with clinicians, managers, service users, carers, families, and external stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and support to junior staff and therapy assistants
  • Coordinate occupational therapy student placements
  • Contribute to appraisals and personal development planning for junior team members
  • Develop and implement policies, protocols, and care pathways
  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adults with complex mental health needs

  • Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
