Join our team as a Band 6 Respiratory Physiotherapist specialising in respiratory care in Clydebank. This locum opportunity offers an attractive £32.00 hourly rate with both full-time and part-time options available on an ongoing basis. In this role, you will be part of a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Service, working with patients requiring specialised respiratory physiotherapy.

What you will do:

  • Manage and deliver physiotherapy care for patients, undertaking complex assessments and developing specialised treatment programmes.
  • Coordinate and implement rehabilitation programmes across ICU, HDU, and ward settings, advising staff on patient management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic clinical records in line with legal and departmental requirements.
  • Refer patients to appropriate external agencies to support ongoing physiotherapy and future care needs.
  • Mentor and support less experienced staff, encouraging learning and development.
  • Share knowledge and skills gained through Continuous Professional Development (CPD) with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  • Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience, ideally within acute surgical and respiratory settings, including intensive care.

You will report to the Cardiothoracic Team Lead and the Rehabilitation Divisional Lead, contributing significantly to the delivery of high-quality respiratory care.
