Sanctuary provide in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Voids Team based in Basildon covering the surrounding area. These works are predominantly in domestic properties and include Carpentry, Tiling, Decorating, Floor Laying, replacement of bathroom suites and kitchen fitting. Due to the nature of the role, a company van will be provided as well as power tools in order for you to complete jobs to a high standard.
The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:
- Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed.
- Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications.
- Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets.
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking an NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical). If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS).
- As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation.
- Skills in some of the following disciplines - Plumbing, Carpentry and Joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations, UPVC door and window fitting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead.
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

£36,095 per annum (rising to £37,994 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance).
