The role of Project Worker will include:
- Regularly assessing the needs of customers by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, and employment.
- Supporting customers in their day to day living i.e., with cooking and cleaning.
- Offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions.
- Assisting customers with managing finances and welfare benefits.
- Encouraging social inclusion and helping customers to build their confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.
- Ensuring Sanctuary Supported Living delivers its safeguarding responsibilities.
Skills and experiences:
- Proven experience of working with vulnerable people.
- A positive approach to working with young people who have a range of needs.
- Good interpersonal and customer care skills, with an approachable attitude.
- Effective communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of action/support planning, key working, risk assessment and safeguarding.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar.
- NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards.
