The role of Maintenance Caretaker will include:
- Undertake reactive basic repairs and maintenance duties in student accommodation, undertaking repairs and reporting issues which require specialist attention.
- Ensuring statutory compliance is maintained including carrying out Fire Alarm Tests, emergency Lighting and water hygiene, ensuring they are all completed in a timely manner.
- Record keeping in line with standard operations procedures.
- Assisting the management team with flat inspections and audits to ensure safe and secure environments in line with Health and Safety and emergency procedures and regulations.
- Ensuring the standard of cleanliness of the site is maintained including waste management and cleaning in accordance with specific site requirements and schedules.
- Act as first point of contact to our customers, responding positively to complaints and service breakdowns.
Skills and experiences:
- Experience within a caretaking or maintenance role is essential.
- Practical skills in identifying and/or carrying out basic repairs.
- Working knowledge of health and safety.
- Excellent communication skills allowing you to provide great customer service.
- Ability to interpret written instructions, maintain simple written records and assess priorities to then plan work schedule effectively.
