Overview
The role of Caretaker will include:
- Undertaking general caretaking duties including cleaning, removing bulk waste and ground maintenance to void properties, this may also include communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows.
- Carry out property clearances, removal of fly-tipping, needle sweeps, pest treatments, and final cleans.
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks including litter picking, shrub cutting, weed control treatments, and general upkeep.
- Communicate effectively with management and update paper and electronic records daily.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition.
- Work to strict deadlines and keep managers updated on progress.
Skills and experiences
- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks.
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery.
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads.
- Attention to detail in terms of getting property to a standard where we can move new customers in.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
