Sanctuary Personnel – Team Manager Position

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Family Safeguarding Team to work full time for Bury.

The salary for this Team Manager job is up to £51,802 per annum.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership, direction, and supervision of reporting lines including Assistant Team Managers.
  2. Support of Social Workers through the process of supervision and by attending conferences, reviews, joint interviews, initial core groups, and other meetings where appropriate.
  3. Lead formal processes in relation to matters such as disciplinary, grievance, and change management.
  4. Contribute as an effective part of the Management Team within your service area in addition to attending management team meetings.
  5. Manage, allocate, and monitor team workload in accordance with priorities agreed with Senior Managers, ensuring fair distribution of work within the team.
  6. Work flexibly as a part of the Management Team to ensure that staff are appropriately supported at all times and provide management cover in alternative parts of the service as required.
  7. Maintain oversight of lone working and other staff safety arrangements in the team, ensuring that risk assessments are undertaken and implemented.
  8. Take responsibility for key decisions in respect of individual children and young people, in accordance with departmental and statutory guidelines.
  9. Ensure agreed childcare plans are implemented in order to promote and safeguard the interests of individual children and young people.
  10. Participate in the development and management of integrated local services to children in need and their families through joint working and partnerships with significant agencies, organisations, and groups in the area.
  11. Quality assure and authorise team reports, statements, or plans to promote high-quality standards.
  12. Undertake quality assurance processes such as case file audits and provide feedback.
  13. Keep updated on developments in statutory requirements, regulations, and other contemporary issues in the field of childcare social work practice, disseminating within the team.
  14. Where an employee is asked to undertake duties other than those specified directly in his/her job description, such duties shall be discussed with the employee concerned who may have his/her Trade Union Representative present if so desired.

Requirements:

  1. A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
  3. Registered or eligible for registration.
