Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Social Workers to join the Mental Health Social Care Team in the vibrant London Borough of Ealing on a full-time basis for three months. This role is perfect for those looking to make a real difference in the community while enjoying the flexibility and variety locum work offers. The position involves working with a dedicated team to assess and review the social care needs of adults in Ealing with primary mental health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake assessments and reviews in line with the Care Act for adults with mental health needs.
  • Develop person-centred, strengths-based support plans.
  • Conduct capacity assessments under the Mental Capacity Act.
  • Compile Social Circumstances Tribunal reports.
  • Act as a Social Supervisor for conditionally discharged patients.
  • Perform safeguarding enquiries and work collaboratively with the Safeguarding Adults Manager.
  • Participate in the duty system to screen referrals and address queries.

Qualifications and requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act Apply Apply, and Human Rights Act 1998, with a flair for professional curiosity and a strength-based approach. Experience in dealing with Court of Protection Schedule 21A challenges will be beneficial.
