Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Family Placement Team to work Full Time based in Berkshire. The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £41,418 per annum.
Main duties:
- Work as a member of the Family Placement Team, contributing to the planning, co-ordination and development of a flexible and comprehensive Family Placement Service.
- Undertake work associated with the recruitment, training, supervision and support of foster carers.
- Prepare home study and group assessment reports for presentation to the Fostering Panel.
- Contribute to the planning for children who may require a family placement, by liaising with other professional staff and participating in meetings.
- Work proactively, in co-operation with other professional staff, to support existing placements, including the development of support packages.
- Undertake work associated with family finding and placement supervision of children and young people referred for family placement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with West Berkshire Council's policy and practice, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain such other records and information as are required to monitor local targets for service provision.
- Carry out other tasks as are commensurate with the post, which may from time to time be required.
- Work closely with colleagues in partner agencies, courts, voluntary and other agencies.
- Contribute to the achievement of good quality services for the prevention of social work services, taking into account national standards and guidelines and evidence of what works.
Requirements of this Social Worker role:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
