About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Social Worker specialising in Children and Families to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families, ensuring positive outcomes and supporting them through challenging circumstances.
What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's and families' needs, risks, and strengths.
- Develop and implement child-centred care plans and interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Work closely with children and families to provide support, guidance, and advocacy.
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams including health, education, and legal professionals to coordinate care and safeguarding.
- Monitor and review cases regularly, adapting plans as necessary to ensure child safety and wellbeing.
- Prepare detailed reports for case conferences, court proceedings, and other statutory meetings.
- Support children in care and those on the edge of care, promoting permanency planning and family reunification where appropriate.

Person Specification:
- Qualified Social Worker with registration on the Health and Care Professions Council Social Work Register or Social Work England.
- Proven experience working with children and families in a social work setting, ideally within Birmingham or similar urban areas.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and other safeguarding frameworks.
- Experience of undertaking assessments, care planning, and case management.
