Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex and varied caseload, including Public Law Outline (PLO) cases and adoption proceedings.
  • Undertake thorough assessments to evaluate risk and need, and design tailored care plans to support positive outcomes.
  • Work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, including police, healthcare teams, educational settings, and voluntary organisations, to deliver holistic support.
  • Promote the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of children and young people through proactive safeguarding and intervention strategies.

Essential Criteria

  • Social Work Degree and successful completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in working with children and families within a statutory social work setting.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
