Senior Practitioner – Child Protection and Assessment Team (CPAT)
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for an experienced Senior Practitioner within the Child Protection and Assessment Team (CPAT) to work full time based in Ilford.
Salary: Up to £49,839 per annum.
Responsibilities:
- Handle complex cases and detailed assessments, including Child Protection Assessments where appropriate.
- Assist the Manager in team responsibilities such as work allocation, maintaining high professional standards, and supporting staff development.
- Stay updated with good practice guidance, legislation, government initiatives, and local policies, playing a lead role in disseminating this information within the team.
- Provide consultation, advice, and guidance to team members on professional issues.
- Support the development and maintenance of projects within set timelines.
- Represent the Manager or Head of Service at meetings and act as Deputy when required.
- Prepare complex reports and briefing papers on policy and operational issues and participate in meetings, case conferences, and project groups.
- Offer professional advice to support team members in fulfilling their duties in accordance with the Children Act 1989.
- Ensure team compliance with statutory responsibilities, policies, and standards, promoting anti-discriminatory practice.
- Identify training needs and develop appropriate training plans for the team.
Requirements:
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Social Work England registration.
- Proven experience in social work.
