Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning recruitment agency specialising in healthcare across Ireland, is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Dietitian to join a specialist in-patient mental health and neurodisability service based in Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.
Role Summary
As a Senior Dietitian, you will take a lead role in providing a comprehensive, evidence-based dietetic service to adults in long-term mental health and neurodisability care. You will contribute to service development, support junior staff, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality nutritional care that promotes recovery, health, and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Dietitian
Deliver advanced, evidence-based dietetic care to adults with complex neuro and mental health conditions.
Conduct nutritional assessments, develop and oversee treatment plans, and evaluate outcomes.
Manage complex feeding cases, including enteral feeding and oral-motor dysfunction.
Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and guidance to junior dietetic staff.
Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to case reviews and care planning.
Offer dietetic education and training to patients, families, and staff.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with CORU and HSE standards.
Lead and participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development projects.
Foster a culture of dignity, equality, and respect in all aspects of care.
Requirements
Essential:
Recognised qualification in Dietetics and current registration with CORU.
Minimum of 3 yearsβ post-qualification experience.
Demonstrated experience in neurodisability and/or mental health care.
Proven ability to lead service improvements and support staff development.
Strong communication, leadership, and time-management skills.
