What you will do:

  • Perform venepuncture and collect blood samples from volunteers safely and accurately.
  • Complete routine clinical observations, including blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and waist measurements.
  • Record clinical information accurately using electronic systems.
  • Monitor participant wellbeing throughout appointments and elevate any concerns appropriately.
  • Prepare, label, and package blood samples for laboratory collection.
  • Deliver a professional, participant-centred service, providing reassurance and support throughout the appointment.
  • Support the smooth running of mobile clinics by assisting with participant flow and administrative tasks.
  • Adhere to infection prevention, health and safety, and clinical governance standards.
  • Report incidents and contribute to quality improvement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team to deliver a safe and efficient service.

Requirements:

  • Venepuncture, cannulation, or blood drawing certificate or competencies required to perform your tasks efficiently and professionally.
