What you will do:
- Prepare, process, and analyse tissue specimens within the Cellular Pathology laboratory.
- Perform a range of diagnostic laboratory procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Work collaboratively with laboratory colleagues and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control programmes to maintain high laboratory standards.
- Ensure compliance with HCPC standards, laboratory policies, and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Science.
- Current HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in Cellular Pathology.
- Previous NHS Cellular Pathology experience is essential.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable due to travel between multiple sites.
