What you will do
- Manage a specialist Occupational Therapy caseload with confidence and expertise.
- Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments and deliver precise interventions for optimal patient outcomes.
- Evaluate functional abilities and rehabilitation needs to facilitate safe discharge planning and efficient patient flow.
- Recommend necessary equipment and adaptations that enhance patient independence and rehabilitation outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create effective, cohesive treatment plans.
- Maintain meticulous clinical records and documentation to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Provide specialised Occupational Therapy advice and support to fellow team members.
Requirements
- A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy is essential.
- HCPC registration is required for practice.
- Proven experience within an acute hospital environment, particularly at Band 7 level.
- Strong ability to independently manage a specialist caseload.
- Excellent clinical reasoning, assessment, and communication skills.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams is crucial.
- Prior NHS Occupational Therapy experience.
- Proficiency in rehabilitation and discharge planning.
- Experience in service development will be beneficial.
