What you will do
- Undertake high-quality screening and symptomatic mammography examinations in accordance with NHS Breast Screening Programme standards.
- Perform mammographic imaging independently, ensuring optimal image quality whilst maintaining patient dignity, comfort, and safety.
- Participate in breast imaging services delivered from both Ninewells Hospital and designated mobile screening units across the region.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation using approved NHS systems and departmental protocols.
- Comply with IR(ME)R regulations, radiation protection policies, and NHS clinical governance requirements.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- BSc Hons Diagnostic Radiography, Diploma of the College of Radiographers DCR or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography essential.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to breast imaging practice.
Registration and Compliance
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council HCPC.
- Knowledge of IR(ME)R regulations and NHS clinical governance frameworks.
